A nice chat over at The Chrome Ball Incident with Habitat’s danny garcia
Real skateboards have done it again and produced another amazing video game to help you get distracted and lose focus from the hum drum of work and anything else that might have been remotely productive!
We (at shiner) are offering you the chance to win one of the Brock decks from this great ‘Game is never over’ series. This is our own (UK version) of the comp available only to UK entrants.
All you have to do is play the game, take a screen shot of your winning score and post it on your facebook and tag @ Shiner skateboards.
The competition winner will be announced Monday … So take a break, click the flyer below and see what you are made of. Just make sure the cops don’t get you and you get all the beers!
Brock Mania!!!
Each week, for the next 4 weeks, we will release a video of the Simpsons x Santa Cruz boards for your delight!
This week it is The Bart Model Cruzer.
Bart has been shredding the streets of Springfield for over 20 years. Now you can skate like Bart with this re-creation of his infamous trusty sidekick… We call it the “Bart Model”, and it comes equipped with OJ 60mm 78A Hot Juice Wheels and Bullet B147 Trucks.
Custom sticker sheet included!
They’re Cruzers, not longboards!
Sam Beckett getting props over on the Bones blog…and rightly so, watch him smash it out on the Monster/DC ramp.
A quick check out of some of the shiner crew rolling about on local concrete…
Real Skateboards have made some new style everslick decks! and they’ve made a nice, fun video to shout about it (click the image below to watch) .
Real know what they’re doing with the construction of their boards…Here’s the blurb:
Unlike the traditional ways slick decks have been made – by simply gluing a layer of plastic or inlaying material to the bottom ply of a deck giving only partial coverage, POPSLICKLES take advantage of a completely different manufacturing method for a batter, stiffer, longer lasting full deck slide.
By fusing 2 layers of long lasting slid-able polymers to an R1 deck using heat instead of glue we were able to cut down on the weight of the of the board while adding to its life and creating a true lasting bond – guaranteed.
The result is a long lasting, stiffer, slick deck that slides longer just about anywhere.
